Patron Cards
Your first library card is free. A parent or guardian must accompany patrons under the age of 18 to the library to sign the library card application. A proof of current address is required (driver's license, personal check, utility bill, etc.) The library card will be issued & items may be borrowed immediately. Your card will be updated annually. Call or stop in when you receive the notification so that we may renew your privilege. Please bring your library card with you to check out items.

Lost Cards
If a library card is lost, a replacement will be issued for $3.00. If a library card is stolen, please inform library staff immediately so precautions may be taken to protect your library account.

Digital Library Cards for Online Use
The library offers digital library cards that will allow new patrons to check out and download eBooks, audiobooks, e-Magazines, and stream videos via The Ohio Digital Library and hoopla as well as allow access to our many online resources. Your digital library card will be updated annually. Call or stop in when you receive the notification so that we may renew your privilege.
For a digital card, go to Our Catalog. On the left side, select "Sign Up For A Library Card", and fill out the application. The resulting library card number and PIN may be used to access The Ohio Digital Library, hoopla, and the library’s Online Resources.
Holds for physical library materials may be placed using this card, but you must exchange your digital card for a physical library card to check out physical materials.  You may then use this new card to also check out digital resources.

Ohio Digital Library

To check out and download eBooks, audiobooks, and e-Magazines from The Ohio Digital Library on a tablet or phone, go to your device’s app store and install the Libby app. Choose Logan County Libraries, then enter your new library card number and PIN. Be sure to review the setup options by clicking the Libby icon in the top right corner within the app. When you check out an item you can download and read it (or listen to the audiobook) right on your tablet or phone.

If you have a Kindle e-Reader or tablet, you can check items out in Libby or on The Ohio Digital Library web page, and tell it to download as a Kindle book.  It will transfer control to Amazon.com where you will log in and click “Get Kindle Book”.  It will appear as a borrowed item in your Amazon library and when you sync your e-Reader, it will appear with your other Kindle books.

hoopla
