Teacher Cards
A Teacher Card allows educators and homeschoolers to check out materials for four weeks, with one renewal if there are no requests for the items.
- No late fees are charged on Teacher Cards.
- The cardholder is responsible for lost or damaged materials.
- Teacher Cards are intended for educational use and may not be used for personal borrowing, including DVDs, Blu-rays, or 14-day items.
Getting a Teacher Card
Teacher Cards are available at the Patron Services desk at any of our six locations: Bellefontaine • DeGraff • Lakeview • Rushsylvania • West Liberty • West Mansfield
To obtain a Teacher Card, you must have a valid personal library card. Both cards are valid for one year and must be renewed annually.
Homeschool families may also receive a Teacher Card. Please bring your photo ID and proof of homeschooling status.
Teacher Collection Requests
Teachers and homeschoolers may request a collection of materials for a classroom, curriculum, or homeschool topic. Requests may be made by topic or specific title using our Teacher Collection Request online form.
Please allow one to two weeks for your collection to be prepared. If materials need to be obtained through interlibrary loan, please allow up to four weeks.
When your collection is ready, we will contact you by email or phone. Collections must be picked up within seven days.
When picking up your collection, please bring a photo ID to the circulation desk.
Library Tours and Programs
Our Youth Services staff members are available for library tours and programs by appointment.
Options may include:
- Storytime and craft
- Library tours
- Introduction to the online catalog
- Research and library skills
- Other programs tailored to your group's needs
Two weeks' notice is required to schedule a tour or program.

Research Projects
Reference staff are available to assist students with research projects and science fair projects.
Students can access:
- Research assistance from library staff
- Books and other research materials
- Resources about science fair projects
- Public computers for research
- Online databases and other digital resources for school-age children
Minors must have parental permission to use public computers.

Homeschool Enrichment
We'd love to help you enrich your homeschool curriculum!
You can request books and other materials on a particular topic through our Teacher Collection Request online form. Please allow one to two weeks for the collection to be prepared.
Homeschool families can also:
- Get a Teacher Card
- Request a library tour or program
- Ask about research assistance
- Request materials for specific subjects or curriculum topics
- Explore online resources for students
To request a Teacher Card, please bring your photo ID and proof of homeschooling status to any Logan County Libraries location.
