- Would you like a free, fun, and educational outing with your students? From pre-school to high-school, the
library offer
s interactive tours that you can schedule at your convenience. A tour of the children’s area or the entire library will help your students know where to find their favorite stories or books for school and research. Games and age appropriate stories add to the fun and your tour may include scavenger hunts and gift bags or prizes! For your older students, we offer lessons in research skills including the Dewey Decimal System and how a library works. Contact Children Services or call 599-4189 ext. 15 to set up your next library adventure! - We are happy to fill booths at Kindergarten screenings and school fairs to promote local libraries and also offer valuable information on how libraries can benefit students of all ages. We have given presentations and lessons on reading & library skills in local schools and would love to discuss doing so in your class! Your local libraries love to support educators, so please let us know how we can be of service.
